Stopped off just prior to a walk. The cafe was very well presented and clean. I ordered the soup of the day and a coffee coming to around ~£10 for the both. The soup was very tasty and came with a large hunk of nice bread and the coffee was good too. It was busy but I did not have to wait long for my food and drinks thanks to the quick and friendly service. Was very pleasantly surprised given all the negative reviews on here.

I saw the reviews and wasnt expecting much food wise and a large price tag , but , 2 burgers , pot of tea and a fancy hot chocolate £40 thats not unreasonable considering the prices of pubs around locally , and it was much nicer than the other pub meals we have had whilst out in the area . Beef burger with bacon was delicious, chips were atchally great 10/10 my girlfriend had a chicken burger that she finished so quickly that I still had half a burger left , that gets a high praise as well and the hot chocolate was a 10/10 as well , all in all worth going , staff were friendly and service was quick as well

My boyfriend cycles to Café Ambio so often I’m starting to think he’s in a relationship with the café, not me. I join him sometimes… if I can survive the climb! Awesome food, amazing coffee, and lovely staff — no wonder he keeps pedalling back up!

What a great meal we had after a lovely walk, such delicious food, the cheese burger with bacon & the chips were delicious, a very high standard indeed, along with very friendly staff, we will definitely be visiting here again!
